Quality & certification

In order to guarantee the high quality of our products we manufacture according CE. In addition our manufacturing facility in Hungary is ISO 9001 certified. We also certify and manufacture our products according to EU and international standards which are valid for specific applications, like DWI and WRAS for drinking water, FDA and EU 10/2011 compliant for food safety and EN779:2012 and EN1822:2010 for air filtration.

Underneath, you can find more information on the certificates and norms to which our filters comply.

ISO 16890 replaces EN779:2012

As of the first quarter of 2017, with a transitional period of 18 months, the standard EN779:2012 is to be replaced by ISO 16890. The ISO 16890 standard is the new global guideline.

ISO 9001:2008

ISO 9001:2008 The V&T Group's manufacturing facility in Hungary is completely ISO 9001 certified. ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact, there are over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries certified to ISO 9001. This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits.

EN779:2012

EN779:2012 All our air filters in the range of G2 - F9 are tested according to the current standard EN779:2012. We cooperate with several independent European testing laboratories to guarantee the delivery of the highest quality air filters. Since September 2012, a few changes were introduced to the European standard EN779:2002. The two most important changes are: F5 and F6 become M5 and M6. The M stands for Medium Efficiency Filter. The filtration efficiency of these filters does not change. M5 filters have an average efficiency of > 40% ≤ Em < 60% and M6 filters of 60% ≤ Em < 80% For air filters of classifications F7, F8 and F9 (fine filters), the new standard stipulates a minimum efficiency (ME) of F7 > 35% / F8 > 55% / F9 > 70% for 0,4 µ particles. In case you would like to receive a schematic overview of the filter classes you can request them by contacting us. EN1822:2010

EN1822:2010 Absolute filters are used in places of highest requirements to the cleanliness of air. They are designed to remove ultrafine dust, aerosols and viable organisms. Applications are found within cleanrooms, in hospital operating theatres and laboratories, but also in the micro-electronics, optical and precision industries, the pharmaceutical and food industry. The new series of EN 1822 “High Efficiency Air Filters (EPA, HEPA and ULPA)” has been published in January 2011. The standard describes the factory testing of the filtration properties of absolute filters, i.e. Efficient Particulate Air filter (EPA), High Efficiency Particulate Air filter (HEPA) and Ultra Low Penetration Air filter (ULPA). For the in-situ testing of those filters under installed conditions the well-known, BS EN ISO 14644-3 remains valid. The standard contains 5 parts: Part 1: Classification, performance testing, marking Part 2: Aerosol production, measuring equipment, particle counting statistics

ISO 16890

According to new ISO standard filters are divided into four groups. A prerequisite for each group is that a filter captures at least 50 % of the appropriate particle size range. If a filter, for example, captures more than 50 % of PM1 particles, it will be grouped as an ISO ePM1 filter. The respective efficiency is then reported, rounded in 5 % increments. Alongside fine dust filters, the new ISO standard also evaluates coarse dust filters as ISO coarse: that is, filters that capture less than 50 % PM10. ISO 16890 Group classification ISO ePM1 ePM1, min ≥ 50 % ISO ePM2,5 ePM2,5, min ≥ 50 % ISO ePM10 ePM10 ≥ 50 % ISO coarse ePM10 < 50 % Benefit from our specialized expertise in certification of air filters Select and request detailed information. WRAS - Water Regulations Advisory Scheme

WRAS - Water Regulations Advisory SchemeAny water fitting, which when installed, will carry or receive water from the public mains water supply in the UK, must comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations or Scottish Byelaws. These require that a water fitting should not cause waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must be ‘of an appropriate quality and standard’. WRAS Approval is the easiest way to demonstrate compliance as it is granted directly by representatives of the water suppliers and is therefore accepted by every water supplier in the UK. - WRAS Product Approval: Whole products such as valves, boilers & showers undergo mechanical and water quality testing. This type of approval demonstrates full compliance with requirements of the regulations and byelaws, provided the fitting is installed according to any conditions given with the approval. - WRAS Material Approval: Non-metallic materials & components, such as rubber sheet m
